Whether your student is in public school, private school, or homeschooled, I’m here to support their learning in a way that’s clear, structured, and encouraging. I break down complex skills into manageable steps and give students concrete tools for today and into the future—whether it’s conducting research, writing an outline, crafting an essay, or analyzing literature.

Every learner is different, and I believe in meeting students where they are. My goal is always the same: to help students move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling capable. My teaching style is interactive, supportive, and focused on real progress—both in academic work and life beyond the classroom. Students receive direct feedback that highlights their strengths and offers specific strategies for improvement.

I value a learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions, share ideas, and make mistakes. Growth doesn’t require perfection—it requires support, clarity, and the space to take the next step forward.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Mississippi (McDonell Barksdale Honors College) and previously held a Professional Teaching Certificate in Florida for grades 6–12. I’ve taught English in public middle and high schools, led small group classes in homeschool and private school settings. In the last five years I've taught over 2,000 students online, many for several years.

I’m also a longtime homeschool mom of four (including twins!) and live in Florida with my husband of 20 years. I love teaching, reading, strong coffee, and relaxing at the beach with my family.
