Become a Confident, Independent Note-Taker
Is note-taking a struggle?
Whether you're a student, or the parent of one, who feels overwhelmed by lectures, disorganized during study sessions, or unsure how to capture the most important information, you're not alone. Many students never receive direct instruction in how to take effective notes—but it's a skill that can be learned.
This self-paced course teaches students practical, adaptable strategies to take clearer, more useful notes in any class, whether it’s middle school, high school, or college.
Each lesson focuses on one key note-taking skill, building toward a flexible system that supports real academic progress. Students will learn how to:
Organize notes clearly and logically
Identify and summarize key ideas
Use abbreviations
Revise and fill in missing information
Apply strategies to both lectures and written materials
Use notes as an effective study tool
Rather than memorizing a rigid method, students are guided through techniques they can adapt to their own learning style.
How It Works
Each lesson begins with a short, focused video that introduces a specific note-taking strategy. After learning the strategy, students practice by taking notes from real content—such as short educational videos or written articles. This allows them to apply what they’ve learned in a meaningful way, without the pressure of grades or deadlines.
There are no required assignments to turn in, but students are welcome to reach out any time for feedback or with questions.
Designed for Busy Students
Whether the goal is to stay organized, keep up with class, or study more effectively, this course provides tools students can use right away—and continue to rely on throughout their academic journey.
